Quality Engineer / Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer / Supplier Quality Engineer

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the Quality Assurance program;
  2. Assist with requirements for Internal Audits;
  3. Monitor and report on production process trends in quality KPIs;
  4. Develop supplier capabilities in product quality and delivery;
  5. Monitor and report supplier performance metrics;
  6. Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement;
  7. Review material receiving inspections, supplies, and equipment made by Suppliers as well as other departments;
  8. Review certificates of compliance and test reports for acceptance;
  9. Review and write reports needed for First Article Inspections;
  10. Investigate customer complaints as a result of non-conforming materials;
  11. Review & prepare RCCA based on customer’s requirements on returned products;
  12. Review chemical analyses, physical testing, and performance evaluations;
  13. Write or review technical and performance specifications, quality levels, sampling plans, and inspection procedures;
  14. Lead problem solving and root cause analysis activities both internally and with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances;
  15. Participate in improvement teams;
  16. Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or Quality related field
  • 3+ years Quality Engineer experience, or 5+ years Quality Inspection
  • Experience in quality system standards, ISO9001 or AS9100
